Axel Lapp
I am co-founder and co-editor of the art book publisher The Green Box, and there we strive to create beautiful artists' books and other books about art.
As Art Review's Contributing Editor for Berlin and as author for a variety of other publications I am regularly writing on contemporary art, the art market and on cultural politics. Furthermore, I am, as Deputy Director, contributing to the projects of the International Curators' Forum (ICF).
From March 2009 until March 2010, I had also done some research on artistic networks and on curating complex systems at CRUMB, Sunderland.
The focus of my work has shifted considerably over the past couple of years.
Publishing, has taken on a much more important role, though I am still also working closely with artists and collectors. I continue to curate exhibitions, to organise art tours and other events, I advise and write.
News
On 6 April 2012, I participated - if only virtually - at the conference 'Trans-locality' that has been organised by Art Tomorrow and Goethe-Institut in Tehran, with a talk "Collaboration and Networking".
At The Green Box, we are currently working on publications about Curating in the Caribbean and about the installation series 'Revolucion–Patriotismo' by Costa Vece.
From 21 until 24 June 2012, I am organising an art tour for the Kunstverein Konstanz to Kassel on the occasion of dOCUMENTA(13).
