Axel Lapp Projects

is the curatorial extension of my practice as publisher, critic and academic. This is my label for exhibitions and other presentations, this is wehere I collaborate directly with artists whose work I reckon to be exciting and important.

For several years, a mews building (Remise) off Invalidenstraße in Berlin served as a space for this. Due to my prolonged absences from the city I had to give this up, and Axel Lapp Projects will manifest itself in other locations and other forms.

It will remain exciting.

Axel Lapp

I am Art Review's contributing editor for Berlin and on occasions also write for a variety of other publications on contemporary art and cultural politics. At the art publishers THE GREEN BOX, of which Anja Lutz and I are the editors, we are producing fine books about art and by artists. Furthermore, I am collaborating as Associate Curator on several projects of the International Curators' Forum (ICF). Since March 2009, I am dividing my time between Berlin and Sunderland in the North of England, where I am doing research on artistic networks and on curating complex systems at CRUMB.
